POSITION SUMMARY

Position Summary Why does this position exist?

We’re seeking a highly motivated Senior Real-World Evidence (RWE) Data Scientist with strong expertise in both statistical methodology and programming to support evidence generation from large-scale health care data.    

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities What tasks are critical to job success?

  • Design and support the execution of RWE studies utilizing real-world data sources, including claims, electronic health records (EHRs) and registry data
  • Conduct exploratory data analyses to support evidence generation, feasibility assessments and study design refinement
  • Participate in database design meetings to ensure that the data collected are in high quality and satisfy analysis requirements
  • Provide technical and programming expertise to independently deliver analytical outputs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional tams to develop and refine data, analytic procedures and programming workflows
  • Manage and contribute to the standardization and automation of data processing workflows, including the development of reusable programming templates and data refreshes
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practice in RWD programming and analytics

 

Core Competencies, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of statistical analysis methodologies and experimental design
  • Computer programming using R, SQL, Python or SAS
  • Fundamentals of project planning and management
  • PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

 

Communication & Interpersonal Skills (minimum standard language provided)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic environment

DESIRED BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE (Include License or Certifications)

  • Intermediate level in R, SQL, Python or SAS for data manipulation and statistical analysis
  • Experience working with real-world data sources such as claims, EHRs, registries
  • Experience in supporting HEOR, epidemiology or medical affairs teams
  • Familiarity with data platforms or environments such as AWS, Redshift, Databricks
  • Knowledge of ICD, CPT, NDC and other clinical coding system

 

REQUIREMENTS

Education (Indicate if there’s a preferred degree or specified field of study)

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Data Science, or other related fields

 

Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years programming experience in real-world data environment using R or SQL
