Job Scope
- Responsible for achieving coverage and call frequency objectives, as well as consistently meeting sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Contributes to regional training initiatives and supports the development of key skills among team members.
- With appropriate guidance, implements systems to track sales progress and action plans; regularly evaluates outcomes, documents results, and provides performance feedback.
- Collaborates with external partner organizations, when applicable, to co-promote products or services.
- Manages territory-level budgets, including customer engagements, speaker programs, and other external expenditures.
- Represents the organization at professional meetings and events, promoting products in accordance with applicable guidelines.
- Works collaboratively with Medical Science Liaisons, National Account Managers, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders on cross-functional initiatives.
- Assists in identifying and addressing business issues and opportunities, communicating insights proactively to sales and marketing management.
- Completes all required administrative tasks in a timely manner, including customer database updates and expense reporting.
- Communicates and collaborates effectively across the commercial team to ensure efficient execution of projects.
- Operates in full compliance with all applicable commercial compliance policies, federal and state laws, regulations, and industry codes governing product promotion and information dissemination.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with strong influencing and negotiation capabilities.
- Working knowledge of relevant therapeutic, disease, and product areas.
- Awareness of industry trends and competitor strategies, with the ability to articulate product protocol considerations such as treatment goals, cost-effectiveness, dosing, duration, and efficacy.
- Ability to identify emerging issues, solutions, and business opportunities and to clearly present recommendations to management and marketing teams.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess moderately complex issues, interpret data, and formulate sound recommendations.
- Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) required, with a minimum of one year of relevant sales experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Prior experience in the relevant therapeutic area is highly preferred.
