Clinical Specialist – Surgical Device
A leading multinational medical device organisation is seeking a Clinical Specialist to provide expert clinical and surgical support across a portfolio of innovative and highly regarded medical technologies in Hong Kong. This is a field‑based, high‑impact role offering direct exposure to cutting‑edge procedures and close collaboration with top surgeons and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands‑on clinical support in operating theatres, ensuring safe and effective use of assigned medical device technologies during surgical procedures
- Act as a trusted clinical advisor to surgeons, nurses, and operating room staff, delivering real‑time technical and product expertise
- Support pre‑operative planning and surgical execution, ensuring optimal product utilisation and patient outcomes
- Deliver product demonstrations, training workshops, and clinical education to healthcare professionals and internal teams
- Partner closely with Sales teams to drive clinical adoption, utilisation, and account penetration
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinicians, and hospital stakeholders
- Support new product launches, ensuring seamless clinical integration and high‑quality execution in the market
- Provide feedback from the field on product performance, customer needs, and market dynamics to internal stakeholders
- Assist in tender processes, product evaluations, and clinical trials where required
- Ensure all clinical and commercial activities comply with local regulations, company policies, and industry standards
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient safety at all times
- Stay up to date with clinical knowledge, surgical techniques, and competitor technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
- 2–6 years of relevant clinical, surgical support, or medical device experience
- Prior experience in operating theatre support / surgical environment is highly preferred
- Experience in the medical device industry is essential; exposure to capital equipment or orthopaedic/advanced surgical technologies is an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with surgeons and clinical staff
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to perform effectively in a fast‑paced clinical environment
- Willingness to travel within Hong Kong and provide on‑site support during surgical procedures
- Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus
