Buying Manager (FMCG)

Our client is a FMCG manufacture company, convey a new wave of cutting-edge products with the world's best retailers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the sales team on the annual budget planning and achieve targets
  • Work closely with order parties in achieving the business objectives, sales and margin
  • Commercial terms & contract negotiation and cost management
  • Investigating new technologies and trends for the sales team and developing a customer sales plan
  • Develop and execute a supplier strategy with the parties to forge profitable commercial ties with manufacturing partners
  • Evaluations of supplier performance to fulfil company and customer expectations
  • Maintain the relationship with the suppliers to deliver enhance value for 'win/win' scenario
  • Identify, lead, and carry out initiatives for value optimization and cost reduction, process enhancements, and operational excellence for preserving and enhancing business profitability
  • Manage and control the sourcing, product development, project management & risk assessment to ensure the services & projects to all business units & customers are effectively delivered

Requirements:

  • Bachelor in supply chain or related
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in buying / merchandising role or FMCG with solid sourcing, product development and project management experience
  • Strong product knowledge on household, bags and stationery
  • Vendor relationship management and understanding of manufacturing regulations
  • Acute market, business & financial sense with strong analytical skills
  • Strong negotiation & presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English & Chinese
  • Experience in Hong Kong or China market sales is an advantage
