Buying Manager (FMCG)
Our client is a FMCG manufacture company, convey a new wave of cutting-edge products with the world's best retailers.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the sales team on the annual budget planning and achieve targets
- Work closely with order parties in achieving the business objectives, sales and margin
- Commercial terms & contract negotiation and cost management
- Investigating new technologies and trends for the sales team and developing a customer sales plan
- Develop and execute a supplier strategy with the parties to forge profitable commercial ties with manufacturing partners
- Evaluations of supplier performance to fulfil company and customer expectations
- Maintain the relationship with the suppliers to deliver enhance value for 'win/win' scenario
- Identify, lead, and carry out initiatives for value optimization and cost reduction, process enhancements, and operational excellence for preserving and enhancing business profitability
- Manage and control the sourcing, product development, project management & risk assessment to ensure the services & projects to all business units & customers are effectively delivered
Requirements:
- Bachelor in supply chain or related
- Minimum 3 years of experience in buying / merchandising role or FMCG with solid sourcing, product development and project management experience
- Strong product knowledge on household, bags and stationery
- Vendor relationship management and understanding of manufacturing regulations
- Acute market, business & financial sense with strong analytical skills
- Strong negotiation & presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills in English & Chinese
- Experience in Hong Kong or China market sales is an advantage
