Supply Chain Specialist (Freight Management – Reefer)
Our client is one of the most reputable and awarded retailers in the international business market. They are currently looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to join the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and resolve operational issues related to ocean freight.
- Develop and implement regular performance reports for carriers, driving continuous improvement initiatives with service providers.
- Process data to support the preparation of management reports.
- Gather and analyze ocean freight market updates, keeping internal stakeholders informed.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements for ocean freight, identifying solutions and establishing processes to meet those needs.
- Participate in supply chain management projects, working with cross-functional teams to drive cohesive end-to-end solutions.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant full-time experience, preferably within the logistics department of a freight forwarder, buyer, or sourcing office.
- In-depth knowledge of ocean freight operations, including direct carriers, NVOCCs, and 3PLs.
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
- Proactive mindset with a demonstrated interest in exploring new opportunities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
