Senior Logistics Officer - China & SEA to USA Trade Lane
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Logistics Officer with deep expertise in managing logistics operations across the China and Southeast Asia (SEA) to USA trade lanes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily supply chain operations, optimizing carrier performance, and ensuring seamless movement of goods across international borders.
This role requires strong analytical capabilities, experience working with freight forwarders and carriers, and fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, cost optimization, and service excellence within our global logistics network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily supply chain operations related to the China & SEA to USA trade lanes including shipment planning, execution, and problem resolution
- Develop, maintain, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational consistency and compliance
- Conduct regular reviews of logistics operations, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions
- Evaluate and analyze performance of freight forwarders and carriers; identify areas for improvement and drive collaboration
- Analyze historical and forecasted shipment volumes to plan and allocate carrier capacity effectively
- Strategically plan container and vessel space utilization to maximize efficiency and reduce costs
- Monitor shipment statuses, prepare and submit regular KPI reports, and provide actionable insights
- Identify opportunities to enhance logistics processes, reduce lead times, and optimize overall supply chain performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably with exposure to in-house logistics teams or freight forwarding companies
- Deep understanding of international logistics, particularly in the China and SEA to USA trade lanes
- Experienced in monitoring large volume transportation of goods
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret data, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making
- Demonstrated experience in managing freight forwarders and carriers, including contract negotiation and performance evaluation
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of Incoterms, international trade compliance, and documentation procedures
