Production Merchandising Manager – Woven & Knits

Our client a leader in brand services and supply chain management, demonstrating market-leading competency in all significant apparel and softline. They are currently looking for a Merchandising Manager to join the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the production team
• Communicate and coordinate product information with buyers, vendors and internal parties 
• Meet with vendors to ensure good quality of the materials and monitor the delivery schedule
• Monitor production plan, well organize in fitting comments for bulk production
• Issue sample order sheet to factory to proceed samples
• Analyse and negotiate price with suppliers and prepare costing
• Keep up-dated factory’s production status and ensure the shipping schedule
• Work closely with the team and merchandising related parties to leverage the sourcing network
• Support the team with the latest fashion trend in knits and woven fabric
• Other ads hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor or degree holder in Apparel/Clothing/Fashion preferred
• 8 years’ experience in merchandising for USA market
• Strong product knowledge for both woven & knit garment
• Experience in apparel production SOP, and inventory control
• Strong analytical sense and numerous of data accuracy
• Experience in managing vendors and China team
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
