Job Description

This is a new headcount with an international financial institution in order to support their global transformation project. Under the Compliance Operations team, this position will directly report to the Head of Compliance Transformation based in the UK. The main responsibility is to act as the Project-in-Charge & operationalize Compliance policies and procedures throughout the implementation of related systems and Target Operating Model for Client Acceptance, Client Onboarding, KYC & Screening components.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage Compliance Operations, including executing processes in accordance with compliance policies and overseeing the operationalization of the Compliance control environment.
  • Perform program management of existing Business-As-Usual (BAU) processes.
  • Provide Management Information System (MIS) reporting to senior management and ensure delivery of targets within timelines dictated by BAU.
  • Maintain a backlog for new system releases and enhancements to existing infrastructure.
  • Liaise with the relevant Global Process Owners, Client Acceptance teams, and Global Service Centres.
  • Oversee new client onboarding and implement process enhancements to improve the client onboarding experience.
  • Monitoring the performance of key compliance controls and supporting regulatory filings.
  • Conducting root cause analysis when exceptions to processes are found; leading to follow-up activities.
  • Liaise regularly with the business to conduct workload planning, prioritize open requests and ensure continuity of information flow across departments.
  • Responsible for escalating key risks/issues to the Head of Compliance Transformation.
  • Stay up to date on any changes to processes and procedures, regulatory change and ensure impacts are communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement process improvements, and provide guidance and support on key process and technology improvements to the business.

Requirements:

  • Over 8 years of experience in TCSPs or related industry
  • Solid working knowledge in KYC, Compliance, AML standard
  • Technology savvy with hands-on experience in using related systems like World-Check
  • Experienced in senior stakeholder management and project process control
  • Bachelor’s holder is essential, preferably with a project/change management qualification (like Agile, Prince2) & business analysis qualification (like Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Highly fluent in English written and verbal communication
