Job Description

 

Our client, a large global MNC is currently looking for an experienced Network specialist to join their Service Operations team in Hong Kong.

Role description

· Undertake Tier 3 assurance duties to support Agile NOC with quality service for VoIP platforms including Session Border Controllers, Juniper IP switches, Firewalls and Voice Gateways according to performance KPI.

· Perform in-depth analysis with the use of sophisticated voice & IP tools to trouble-shoot and resolve customer/network incidents/issues and complex faults on voice networks, platforms and SIP protocol.

· Work closely with Agile NOC and Voice Planning & Engineering teams to support on Voice projects, new initiatives, customizations, patch verification, feasibility studies, UAT and POC … etc.

· Perform focused O2A provisioning & activation and T2R assurance support with data configuration in IP devices (SBC/SWe/PSX, Juniper etc) for Enterprise & OTT services (GVOIP, SIP Connect, DID, ITF, Microsoft 365, Genesys Call Centre product, AWS …etc.).

·Carry out O & M activities including network surveillance & assurance on Global VOIP Platforms to maintain good resilience and high availability.

· Perform Billing assurance and troubleshooting to ensure billing data integrity and accuracy as well as resolve billing disputes.

· Enhance skills and capabilities by seeking and undertaking on-going training together with self-study to keep up to date with developments in IP, Voice and new innovative technologies.

· Perform technical support including working at flexible hours on ad-hoc Planned Work (PN) on migrations, platform upgrades, SW Releases, customer number porting and customer joint testing for Enterprise customers.

· Review processes & incidents and suggest improvements and enhancements.

· Provide expertise consultation supports to various internal teams.

· Provide emergency call out support at outside office hours as required.

· Compile & generate Service Performance and Usage reports

Requirements

· Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.

· At least 5 years of experience in supporting VoIP infrastructure, Enterprise/OTT Services or related enterprise environment.

· Experience with Cloud related solutions like Genesys Purecloud, AWS, MS etc.

· Certifications of Ribbon/Perimeter SBC, Cisco Routers, Juniper switches are preferrable.

· Sound Knowledge in TDM and VOIP technologies – SS7, ISUP, SIP/SDP/RTP protocols, Voice Quality Metrics and Skills in Voice tools – Wireshark, Cisco Jabber phone etc.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Responsive and strong ownership, especially in handling customer incidents/issues.

· Good negotiation skills and Vendor/Supplier management.

· Good knowledge on assurance and provisioning processes.
