End User Computing (Desktop Support Engineer) L1
Location: Singapore
Contract Duration: 12 Months (Renewable)
About the Role:
We are representing our client, a leading IT systems services company based in Singapore, in their search for a Desktop Support Engineer (L1) to join their team. This position is a 12-month renewable contract offering an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced IT environment.
As a Desktop Support Engineer (L1), you will be responsible for providing efficient and reliable onsite desk-side support, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues, and maintaining a secure and high-performing desktop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver onsite desk-side support with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows 10, Office 365, and desktop devices.
- Manage IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) operations and perform break-fix services for hardware and software.
- Support desktop device lifecycle management, including installation, patch updates, and hardware replacement.
- Utilize service management tools such as ServiceNow and provide remote support using EUC tools.
- Ensure compliance with security profiles and antivirus software across desktop devices.
- Analyze incident data to identify user training needs and automation opportunities.
- Provide VIP-level support as required and serve as the point of contact for IT-related issues.
- Adhere to ITIL processes, including incident, change, and service request management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Lync, VPN, and mobile device support.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, MAC devices, and tablets.
- Experience in managing spare and buffer stock.
