Demand and Supply Planning Assistant Manager
Our client is a global leader in the travel industry, exclusively focused on airline amenity kits, cosmetics and comfort items. They are currently looking for a Demand and Supply Planning Assistant Manager to join the company.
Job Description:
Demand and Supply Planning:
- Take charge of material and production planning in collaboration with airlines, suppliers, and brands.
- Cultivate relationships with key suppliers and oversee adherence to production plans, ensuring timely delivery and contract compliance.
- Provide support for new projects, launches, and rotation changes by coordinating product order schedules.
- Monitor product availability and daily operational activities, actively anticipating and identifying shortages and excess stock risks.
- Lead the resolution of supply issues by offering recommendations, tracking progress, and maintaining effective communication internally and externally to manage expectations.
- Utilize supply planning processes and tools to develop efficient supply plans and maintain optimal inventory coverage levels.
Inventory Management:
- Establish and regularly update target stock levels for each product/airline, considering expected service levels.
- Identify slow-moving stock and take proactive measures to eliminate and prevent the recurrence of slow-moving inventory.
- Offer insights and projections on inventory for budgeting purposes.
Continuous improvement:
- Take the lead in improving planning processes and tools.
- Continuously evaluate current workflows and drive ongoing enhancements to boost efficiency, minimize losses, and achieve cost savings.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in supply and/or demand planning; [candidates with lesser years of experience may be considered for officer roles]
- Highly data-sensitive with robust analytical capabilities
- Exceptional organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and strong follow-up abilities
- Ability to foster strong cross-functional and inter-level relationships
- Basic understanding of sales strategy and brand positioning
- Fluency in spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
- Proficient in Excel, including Pivot tables and Vlookups
- Experience with digital/BI tools like Power BI is advantageous
- Knowledge of Dynamics is a plus
