System Engineer (12-Month Renewable Contract)

About the Role

We’re seeking a motivated System Engineer to support IT operations and infrastructure for a leading tech-driven organization. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow your career in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Monitor and maintain daily IT operations including troubleshooting and patching.

· Provide Level 1 and 2 support for Windows, Active Directory, backup, and storage systems.

· Assist with after-hours maintenance and upgrades when needed.

· Perform routine system administration tasks such as log reviews and patch deployments.

· Manage virtual environments (VMWare/Hyper-V) and Windows servers.

· Collaborate with senior engineers and vendors to resolve escalated issues.

· Prepare basic reports and documentation.

· Stay updated on system updates and security advisories.

Qualifications

· Diploma or Degree in IT or related field.

· 1–3 years of experience in IT infrastructure or system support.

· Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.

· Exposure to backup systems and ITSM processes is a plus.

· Microsoft and/or ITIL certifications are preferred but not required.

· Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
