Senior/ Contracts Manager
Overview
Our reputable client is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Contracts Manager to oversee the contractual and commercial aspects of construction projects in Hong Kong, the Middle East, Canada and Singapore. The ideal candidate will provide guidance on contractual, law, and commercial matters, ensuring adherence to all relevant obligations and conducting project risk assessments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of contractual and commercial aspects of construction projects.
- Conduct contract reviews and manage agreements for projects in Hong Kong and abroad, ensuring adherence to all relevant contractual obligations and conducting project risk assessments.
- Provide contractual, financial, and commercial guidance for projects, including project administration, compliance monitoring, contract oversight, cost management, and procurement of consultancy services, contractors, and construction contracts.
- Ensure compliance with Company Policies, internal quantity surveying procedures, and contractual obligations.
- Manage and track all claim submissions and associated processes.
- Offer legal advice and insights for the company’s daily operations.
- Complete additional ad-hoc projects as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, Law, or a related field; a background in Chinese Law or Common Law is a plus.
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior commercial role for large-scale contracts; overseas legal experience is highly advantageous.
- Professional Quantity Surveying qualifications such as RICS or HKIS are preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and project controls.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to budget and timeline management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in English with excellent writing capabilities.
