Senior Supply Chain Specialist (Global Discount Retailer)

 

Our client is one of the most reputable and awarded retailers in the international business market. They are currently looking for a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to join the organisation.

 

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate with service providers to secure competitive pricing, thereby achieving cost-effective contract terms for business planning
• Ensure data integrity via daily basis for data maintenance 
• Monitor the operational process and establish SOP and guidelines for effectively managing ocean freight operations. Promptly notify the manager if any deviations occur
• Prepare KPI reports to monitor service providers' performance on a regular basis
• Assist Manager to maintain the relationship with service providers and verifying that their performance meets the required standards
• Collaborate with service providers under the guidance of the Manager to initiate and facilitate operational enhancements
• Coordinate with service providers and Supply Chain Management teams regarding any special operations issue and inquiries
• Analyse the pricing review, spot quotation, and ocean freight contract tendering with the Freight Forwarder Management team
• Conduct an analysis on ocean freight marketing intelligence and deliver updated information to internal teams
• Introduce new operational procedures and implement performance metrics to evaluate efficiency of freight forwarder
• Provide guidance and technical advice to Specialist on daily operation

 

Requirements:

 

• Degree holder in Supply Chain/ Logistics or related studies
• 8 years of full-time relevant experience, preferably in Carrier/ Freight Forwarder/ Buying/ Sourcing offices
• Experience in reporting and analytics support in logistics field
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Excellent analytic, problem solving and project management skills
• Good communications and interpersonal skills, team player
• Experience with Logistics IT Software Solution is advantageous
