Supplier Sourcing Manager

My client is a fast-growing global trading company that supplies high-demand consumer products to major discount retailers around the world. As we continue to expand our product range and reach, we’re looking for a hands-on, experienced Supplier Sourcing Manager to lead our sourcing efforts and build a strong, reliable network of global suppliers. This is a brand new position within the company, and will initially start off as an individual contributor.

If you’ve spent years on the ground in manufacturing hubs, know your way around a factory audit, and have a rolodex full of trusted suppliers especially in pet products, true wireless audio, or consumer electronics, we want to hear from you.

This isn’t just about finding suppliers, it’s about building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and making smart sourcing decisions that help us deliver great products at the right cost and quality. You’ll play a central role in shaping how we source, who we partner with, and how we stay ahead in a competitive market.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Director
• Use your experience and network to identify and bring on new, reliable suppliers especially across Asia (China, Vietnam, India, etc.). We’re looking for someone who already has strong connections and a database of vetted partners.
• Dive into market research to understand trends, pricing shifts, and supply risks, so we can make informed sourcing decisions.
• Develop smart sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, speed, and risk, not just for today, but as we grow.
• Lead negotiations with confidence, whether it’s pricing, MOQs, payment terms, or delivery schedules, and come out with deals that work for us.
• Evaluate suppliers beyond just price, looking at their capacity, quality systems, compliance, and long-term reliability.
• Build real relationships with suppliers. It’s not just transactional, we want partners we can trust and grow with.
• Work closely with our product, quality, and logistics teams to make sure what we source meets our standards and gets to our customers on time.
• Stay on top of compliance, from product safety to ethical sourcing, so we meet the requirements of major retailers.
• Keep everything organised, from supplier data to performance tracking, and share insights that help the team make better decisions.

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, ideally within a trading company or import-focused business.
• Real-world experience sourcing pet products, true wireless earbuds, or consumer electronics, bonus points if you’ve worked with private label or retail brands.
• A proven ability to build and manage a global supplier network and a database to back it up.
• You’re not afraid to negotiate. In fact, you enjoy it and you’ve got a track record of delivering solid cost savings and strong contract terms.
• You understand the ins and outs of international trade from factory visits to freight terms to compliance.
• You’re analytical but practical. You use data to guide decisions, but you also know when to trust your gut after years in the field.
• You’re comfortable using ERP systems, spreadsheets, and supplier management tools and turning data into action.
• You’re ready to travel when needed, whether it’s visiting factories, attending trade shows, or meeting suppliers face to face.
