Head of Projects
We are seeking a Head of Projects to champion the overall planning, design, and execution of building and infrastructure development projects. The suitable candidate will oversee existing and new projects, with a mission to accelerate and complete project on or within the given project timeline.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the CEO, and Board of Directors
- Leading a team of 30+ staff
- Spearhead the Project Development Division in planning and executing development.
- Lead development projects, integrating cutting-edge technologies into building design with a focus on smart and sustainable solutions, while ensuring cost and time efficiency within the Board's defined scope.
- Oversee feasibility studies for new projects, including technical and financial analyses, and identify optimal financing and implementation models.
- Ensure seamless communication between the Project Development Division and relevant government departments to guarantee project completion in compliance with all statutory standards and procedures.
- Support the CEO in reporting to the Board and obtaining approvals on all project matters, including strategic decisions and contract procurement.
- Lead the Project Development Division, managing the performance of consultants and contractors to achieve project goals.
- Collaborate with other divisions to integrate their requirements into project planning and ensure a smooth project handover upon completion.
- Implement and enforce all decisions of the Board of Directors effectively.
- Efficiently execute tasks and assignments delegated by the CEO.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above in Architecture, Building, Civil/Structural Engineering or a construction-related discipline
- Full member or fellow of HKIA, HKIE, HKIS or other relevant professional bodies; Candidate with Authorized Person qualification is preferred
- At least 20 years’ post-qualification experience, in which 10 years at senior management level or similar positions is preferred, with extensive experience in managing multi-disciplinary development projects
- Knowledge of statutory requirements and procedures for development projects in Hong Kong
- Candidate with working experience in government or statutory bodies is a plus
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience in managing and motivating teams
- Strong project management, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent command of spoken/written English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
