Job Title: Factory Manager
Location: Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia
Are you from within the EMS / Automation market sector, with Factory Setup Experience? With proven ability to establish and manage a new factory?
Our client is a listed EMS / Automation solution provider, and we’re looking for an experienced Factory Manager to lead the establishment of our new factory in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our manufacturing processes, quality standards, and production targets are met while fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Setting up a team for the factory from scratch, ensuring that all manufacturing facilities and processes are aligned with our production goals.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency within the factory.
- Factory layout: Design the layout of the factory to ensure smooth operations are in place
- Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners and communities to support our operations.
- Compliance Oversight: Manage various aspects of factory operations, including equipment moving, safety, health, environmental sustainability, and labor rights, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 10 years in manufacturing, process, and engineering quality, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior management role. Strong knowledge of modern management strategies and quality standards, particularly in PCBA.
- Technical Skills: Over 5 years of hands-on experience in automated machinery or equipment manufacturing, especially with SMT machines (wave soldering and reflow soldering).
- Mindset: Customer-oriented with strong planning, business acumen, and cross-functional coordination skills. You should be reliable, goal-oriented, and ambitious in your career.
- Languages: Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse teams, including both Chinese management and local Malaysian staff.
