Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated AI Engineer to enhance our construction payment digitalization projects. In this role, you will design and implement AI solutions to automate the processing of construction contract documents, payment applications, and verification workflows. This is a unique opportunity to apply AI technologies to solve practical challenges in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop AI models and systems for document processing, including data extraction, classification, and validation.
  • Integrate AI technologies such as OCR, NLP, and machine learning to automate construction payment processes.
  • Explore and implement emerging technologies like computer vision and deep learning for document processing.
  • Assist in transitioning AI solutions from cloud environments to on-premise systems.
  • Collaborate with the development team to integrate AI capabilities into existing systems.
  • Continuously optimize AI model performance and accuracy.
  • Research and introduce innovative technologies to address construction-specific data processing challenges.
  • Develop strategies for managing machine learning challenges, especially with limited labeled data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
  • Proficiency in modern AI frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).
  • Extensive experience in Python programming and data processing.
  • Proven ability to apply AI solutions to real-world business problems.
  • Creative problem-solving skills in resource-constrained environments.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI applications in construction, engineering, or related sectors.
  • Familiarity with document processing, OCR, and information extraction technologies.
  • Experience implementing both cloud-based and on-premise AI systems.
  • Understanding of construction industry operations in Hong Kong/Asia.
  • Startup experience and adaptability to fast-paced development environments.
  • Proficiency in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
