Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Storage Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our storage infrastructure, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and scalability to support our business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, monitor, and manage enterprise storage solutions across multiple data centers.
- Implement and maintain robust backup and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Analyze storage performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance system performance and capacity planning.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to storage systems.
- Develop scripts and workflows to automate storage-related tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure storage systems comply with internal security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with storage solution vendors for hardware/software support, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
Key Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT storage administration or a related field.
- Proficiency in managing enterprise storage systems such as NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, or Hitachi Vantara.
- Hands-on experience with SAN, NAS, and object storage technologies.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery tools like Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, or Veeam.
- Strong knowledge of storage protocols such as iSCSI, NFS, CIFS, and Fiber Channel.
- Scripting experience in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Working knowledge of virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V and cloud storage solutions like AWS S3 or Azure Blob Storage.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Equivalent experience will be considered.
