R&D Engineering Manager (Electrical)

Our client is the leading manufacturer and distributor of consumer products. They are currently seeking for an outstanding R&D Engineering Manager (Electrical) to join their team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the complete product development lifecycle, from initial concept to final project release, including conducting research and analysis, providing technical support, creating construction designs, sourcing materials, and performing patent searches.
  • Collaborate closely with the team manager and work cross-functionally with designers, engineers, departments, and external vendors to facilitate the successful development of new products.
  • Take ownership of multiple projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery while meeting key objectives and performance targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Keep abreast of the latest advancements in global product designs, technologies, materials, and manufacturing techniques, applying this expertise to inform and enhance new product development.
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, with expertise in both mechanical and electrical plastic products.
  • Creative, proactive, and independent with strong leadership skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • In-depth knowledge of prototype development, plastic injection moulding, and assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards.
  • Proficient in CAD software and MS Office applications.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
  • Willingness to travel to China as required.
