Overview

Our client is a major public service conglomerate and they are looking for a Commercial Development Department is dedicated to driving revenue through the creation of customer-centric products, leveraging data, and enhancing customer engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Development: Create innovative, customer-focused products that enhance the experience of inbound tourists exploring Hong Kong.
  • Partnership Development: Forge strategic partnerships and develop bundled offerings with travel agents, tourist attractions, F&B outlets, retailers, and transportation providers.
  • Pricing and Revenue Optimization: Analyze market trends and opportunities to optimize pricing strategies and maximize revenue.
  • Customer Experience Analysis: Understand and analyze the customer journey of inbound tourists to improve overall satisfaction and engagement.
  • Sales Channel Management: Develop and manage both digital and physical sales channels, monitoring and enhancing their performance.
  • Business Proposals and Reporting: Prepare compelling business proposals, pitching decks, and sales reports while reviewing commercial terms.
  • Market Share Expansion: Collaborate with key organizations, including MICE organizers, government bodies, and tourist attractions, to increase product market share in the travel and tourism sector.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work within broader teams and project groups to achieve overarching business goals, manage projects, and execute marketing campaigns.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business studies, marketing, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in tourism and leisure product development, with at least 3 years in a managerial role leading a team.
  • A self-motivated team player who thrives under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English is essential.
  • Detail-oriented, open-minded, and results-driven.
  • Knowledge of the Greater Bay Area and broader Asian markets is preferred.
  • Experience in design thinking or innovation methodologies is advantageous.
  • Immediate availability is highly desirable.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for the role of Assistant Commercial Development Manager.
