Job Description

As a Network Architect, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the client’s network infrastructure, ensuring its optimal performance and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and security, to understand business requirements and translate them into effective network designs.

 

The Job:

  • Understand the client’s business and technical requirements to design and develop network architectures accordingly
  • Evaluate and recommend network technologies, platforms, and tools to enhance network performance, scalability, and security.
  • Develop network designs, including LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud networks, considering factors such as capacity, redundancy, and resiliency.
  • Configure and deploy network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators on client’s enterprise environment
  • Act as Level 2 support to troubleshoot network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with security teams to integrate network security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers (3-4 pax)

 

The Person:

  • Higher Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree in IT related discipline
  • At least 5 to 7 years of network post-sales role, designing and implementing complex network solutions with enterprise grade clients
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLAN, and VPN.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with network equipment, including Huawei, Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto Networks devices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Related network certificates in Huawei or Cisco – CCNP/ CCIE preferred
  • Good command of verbal and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
