Job Description

We are currently seeking a Fraud Investigation Professional to support a leading banking client's fraud risk management function. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting fraud investigations, analysing suspicious activities and emerging fraud trends, supporting fraud prevention initiatives, and collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance fraud controls and mitigate financial crime risks. This role offers excellent exposure to the banking industry and an opportunity to contribute to critical fraud risk and compliance initiatives.

Overview
Support fraud analytics and anti-fraud initiatives within the Control & Compliance function. The role focuses on leveraging data insights to strengthen fraud prevention controls, enhance detection capabilities, and support the Bank's risk management strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of fraud analytics and anti-fraud initiatives.
  • Assist in the implementation of new fraud controls, including data analysis, requirement gathering, UAT testing, and result validation.
  • Monitor fraud trends and identify opportunities to improve fraud detection effectiveness.
  • Prepare fraud risk reporting, key risk indicators, and management information dashboards.
  • Support investigations into fraud incidents, emerging fraud attacks, and financial crime typologies.
  • Conduct research on fraud trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in fraud analytics, risk analytics, financial crime compliance, or risk management within banking or financial services.
  • Knowledge of banking products, operations, and relevant regulatory requirements, particularly AML.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools, statistical techniques, and programming languages.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
