Company Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading consumer goods / retailer in Shanghai who are seeking a mid to senior level lawyer! This global organisation offers excellent culture with good progression. 

Responsibilities

• Support business units with a range of legal matters including drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documentation ensuring strict compliance with relevant regulatory filings and obligations
• Handle the Group's data protection practices in Mainland China including managing impact assessment policies, privacy issues and also act as the key person to advise the business on data compliance matters
• Responsible for general corporate entity management such as obtaining approvals, maintaining contract databases and required licenses 
• Work closely with the global legal team on a variety of legal projects 

Requirements

• At least 7+ years of legal experience gained within general commercial, corporate with some in-house experience required
• Ideally have knowledge of data privacy and protection issues in Mainland China 
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is required 
• Good communication and presentation skills being able to work with multiple stakeholders
