Operations Manager - (Plastic/Metal Moulding) – Based in Foshan

Our client is an international manufacturing company that designs and manufactures premium products for the Food & Beverage industry, both as an OEM and under our own brands. With over 100 employees globally, our main factory is located in Foshan, China, exporting to over 25 countries.

We are seeking a hands-on, floor-present Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day factory operations and production management. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, you will lead a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment where culture is built on facts, data, and a no-politics mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage the daily and weekly production schedule to meet confirmed delivery dates
• Manage the production, purchasing, logistics and warehouse teams
• Balance the production plan with sales forecasts and factory capacity
• Monitor output, efficiency, scrap and rework; report daily and weekly KPIs to the Head of Manufacturing
• Ensure material availability: coordinate with purchasing on supplier lead times and deliveries
• Work with the Quality Manager to solve production quality issues at the root cause
• Support the Project Managers in industrializing new products (tooling, processes, work instructions)
• Keep the workshop organized (5S) and maintain the equipment maintenance plan
• Enforce safety rules and compliance with Chinese labor regulations on the shop floor
• Plan headcount with Admin/HR, including temporary workers for peak seasons
• Control operating waste: overtime, scrap, consumables and downtime
• Coordinate on-time shipment with the logistics team, including export documentation and customs
• Can make recommendations for overall improvement and help take the company to the next level

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial Management is preferred. Must be highly organized, calm under pressure, and present on the factory floor daily.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing operations, including 2+ years managing production teams. Experience in a foreign-owned factory is a strong plus.
• Chinese / Hong Kong Citizen, willing to be based near to Foshan Region
• Native Mandarin with good working English; Cantonese is a plus
• Experience with metal and/or plastic manufacturing (fabrication, assembly, injection molding). Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, production planning, and logistics.
