About Our Client
Our client is an established international company specializing in high-quality educational products, furniture, and learning environments. The company is hiring a Quality Control Inspector to support its quality operations in Taichung, Taiwan, with regular travel to manufacturing sites in different cities.
About the Role
The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that furniture and related products meet the company’s quality requirements throughout the manufacturing process. The successful candidate will conduct inspections, perform product testing, identify quality issues, and work with factories and internal stakeholders to implement timely corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial, in-process, mid-production, and final inspections of furniture and related products.
- Perform 100 percent inspections on packing lines or conduct random warehouse inspections according to established standards.
- Carry out appropriate product testing and field-testing procedures.
- Identify abnormal quality issues and support prompt corrective action and resolution.
- Prepare and issue accurate inspection reports in English within the required timelines.
- Provide timely quality updates to the QC Leader and escalate issues to senior management when required.
- Follow up on order progress and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders.
- Travel between factories located in different cities.
- Work in line with factory production schedules, including overtime when operationally necessary.
- Perform other duties assigned by the QC Leader or manager.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in furniture manufacturing, furniture quality control, or a related field.
- Familiarity with the production processes and inspection requirements for indoor, outdoor, or upholstered furniture. Experience with toys may also be considered relevant.
- Ability to conduct furniture product testing and evaluate products against defined quality standards.
- Ability to prepare professional inspection reports in English.
- Working proficiency in written and reading English. Stronger English communication skills are preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills, professional ethics, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly between factories in different cities.
- Senior high school diploma, associate degree, or equivalent qualification. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience inspecting upholstery or furniture produced for high-end markets is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in quality, furniture manufacturing, or finishing are advantageous.
