Business Analyst – Multi-Country Payroll Transformation & Compliance

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support a multi-country payroll process and compliance project. This role will work closely with the Lead Consultant (responsible for operating model and governance design) to document, standardize, and enhance payroll processes across multiple jurisdictions.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in process mapping, documentation, and payroll operations, with the ability to translate complex country-specific requirements into structured deliverables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process Mapping & Documentation
- Develop end-to-end process maps for payroll operations across multiple countries
- Document current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) workflows in alignment with project objectives
- Ensure consistency and standardization across all country process documentation
Country-Specific SOP Development
- Prepare detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) packs tailored to each country in scope
- Incorporate local statutory requirements, compliance obligations, and operational nuances
- Ensure SOPs are practical, clear, and aligned with the target operating model
Control & Compliance Framework
- Design and document control matrices (e.g. key controls, risks, and mitigations)
- Support identification of process gaps, risks, and compliance considerations
- Align controls with internal governance and audit requirements
Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Develop training materials and user guides for payroll processes and controls
- Support knowledge transfer sessions to internal stakeholders and client teams
- Ensure materials are user-friendly and tailored to different audiences
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with the Lead Consultant and country stakeholders to gather requirements
- Liaise with payroll, HR, finance, and compliance teams across regions
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and walkthrough sessions where required
Project Support
- Track deliverables and ensure timely completion of documentation across all countries
- Maintain document version control and governance standards
- Support implementation readiness and transition activities
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, HR, or related discipline
- 3–6 years of experience in Business Analysis, Payroll Operations, or Process Improvement
- Proven experience in Process mapping tools (e.g. Visio, Lucidchart), SOP and policy documentation
- Exposure to multi-country or regional payroll environments is highly preferred
- Experience in payroll transformation or outsourcing projects is highly preferred
- Familiarity with HRIS / Payroll systems (e.g. SAP, Workday, Oracle)
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and statutory requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- High attention to detail with strong documentation capabilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-based environment
