(Senior) Product Manager – Medical Devices
A leading multinational Medical Device company is seeking a (Senior) Product Manager to drive end‑to‑end product and portfolio strategy, execution, and performance for assigned medical device franchises in Hong Kong.
This is a highly visible role for a commercially minded, hands‑on marketer who thrives in complex, regulated environments, enjoys working cross‑functionally, and is motivated by driving sustainable growth and long‑term brand value in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Portfolio Strategy
- Lead in‑depth market, customer, and competitive analysis within the Hong Kong healthcare and medical device landscape
- Translate market insights into clear product and portfolio strategies, prioritisation choices, and growth initiatives aligned with regional and global direction
- Define and champion differentiated value propositions tailored to key customer segments, including KOLs, clinicians, hospital management teams, and institutional stakeholders
- Act as product marketer for assigned portfolios, ensuring consistency with global strategy while effectively localising for the Hong Kong market
- Partner closely with Sales leadership to evaluate business cases, manage risks, and support data‑driven decision‑making
- Lead pricing, tendering, and contracting strategies in line with market access dynamics, customer value perception, and competitive context
- Own demand planning, forecasting, and marketing expenditure (ME) budgeting, ensuring effective resource allocation and ROI
- Cross-functional team education and training materials
Marketing Planning & Execution
- Own and deliver annual and multi‑year product marketing plans to achieve sales growth, profitability, and market share objectives
- Design and execute integrated marketing and campaigns that reflect local customer engagement preferences and comply with regulatory requirements
- Lead end‑to‑end product lifecycle management, including new product launches, in‑market optimisation, and end‑of‑life decisions
- Work closely with regional and global teams to ensure timely localisation and high‑quality execution of strategic initiatives
Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Serve as a strategic product marketing partner to Sales leadership, shaping go‑to‑market models and sales enablement strategies
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement teams to define and deliver impactful product training and launch readiness programmes
- Work cross‑functionally with Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and compliance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including KOLs, professional bodies, hospitals, and industry partners in Hong Kong
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and track KPIs to measure product performance, marketing effectiveness, and launch success
- Drive continuous improvement through post‑launch reviews, insights generation, and optimisation actions
- Provide informal leadership, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members and cross‑functional partners
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all marketing and commercial activities comply with company policies, local regulations, and industry codes of conduct
- Uphold the highest ethical standards, including responsible gathering and use of competitive information
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in Sales and/or Marketing, with strong exposure to product or portfolio management
- Essential experience in the medical device industry; capital equipment experience is a strong advantage
- Hands‑on experience working in or with the Hong Kong healthcare market is required; broader APAC exposure is an advantage
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and commercial acumen
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders within a matrixed, multinational organisation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences
- Highly organised, resilient, and comfortable managing ambiguity in a fast‑changing environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; CRM or marketing analytics tools experience is a plus
- Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage
