Supply Chain Specialist – (Planning)
Our client is a market leading European Pharmaceutical company seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to drive and optimise in‑market supply operations for Hong Kong.
Accountable for achieving service targets, cost‑to‑serve improvements and timely delivery of product launches while ensuring compliance with internal standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Strategy & Governance: Align local supply chain activities with global strategy; liaise with commercial leadership and global stakeholders; escalate critical risks promptly.
- Demand Planning & Launches: Lead local forecasting and maintain forecasting tools; coordinate supply aspects of new product introductions, phase‑ins/outs, patient programs and tenders.
- Inventory & Distribution Management: Implement group inventory policies (safety stock, MRB); maintain optimal stock levels to avoid stockouts or excess; coordinate import/export, release and recall activities; manage write‑offs.
- Third‑Party/Vendor Management: Oversee local 3PLs and customs brokers per external network governance; manage contracts, vendor risk assessments, corrective actions, performance reviews and invoice validation.
- Systems & Reporting: Act as SAP (SD) local key user for 3PL interfaces and product master data; support monthly SAP close and local reporting; maintain master data integrity; and produce timely KPIs
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure GMP/GDP compliance across affiliate and partner operations; support QA/RA on regulatory matters; maintain/updating SOPs.
- Continuous Improvement & Projects: Identify and deliver cost, quality and service improvements; support local and global projects; lead supply continuity planning and risk mitigation.
Requirements
- Degree Educated with 5+ years’ supply chain experience (planning, distribution or similar); Pharmaceutical/Healthcare/FMCG experience preferred.
- Proven analytical, project management and continuous improvement capabilities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with SAP (SD/MM/PP or S/4HANA) advantageous.
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
