Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Handle full spectrum of accounting functions for subsidiaries across Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, and Malaysia.
  • Work closely with local teams and external CPAs to coordinate the preparation of financial statements.
  • Establish accounting workflows and processes for newly set‑up subsidiaries.
  • Support the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and internal company standards.
  • Assist with administrative matters relating to Asian subsidiaries in partnership with local finance teams and CPAs.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of various financial reporting packs, including sales reports, expense analyses, and other key performance metrics.
  • Review operating expenses and develop foundational cost‑control and profitability monitoring practices.
  • Support and oversee regional financial controlling activities in Asia, helping to produce insights and recommendations for management decisions.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to optimize workflows, improve efficiency, and strengthen financial performance.
  • Contribute to international tax planning and compliance efforts in collaboration with external tax advisers.
  • Supervise payroll processes and personnel cost management for the Asia region.
  • Manage cash operations and payment cycles and prepare weekly cash‑flow updates and forecasts.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance daily financial procedures and propose measures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Carry out additional ad hoc assignments when required.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related disciplines.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles. Experience managing or coordinating a team is an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience preparing and analyzing budgets, cash‑flow statements, and financial analyses, with a strong interest in developing further in an international environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams across multiple regions and cultures.
  • Open‑minded, adaptable, and eager to learn.
  • Willingness and capability to research and understand regulatory and administrative requirements across different countries.
  • Proven ability to multitask, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast‑moving work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (especially Excel and Google Sheets), along with ERP and accounting systems.
  • Experience with PowerBI and/or basic Python skills is a strong plus.
  • Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
