Role Overview
Drive revenue growth in the Print & Packaging segment within the region by:
- Building strong relationships with key accounts such as major printers, ink and press manufacturers, and brand owners.
- Overseeing local sales channels (direct and indirect) through dotted-line management.
- Taking full responsibility for achieving Print & Packaging revenue targets in the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize target accounts in printing, ink manufacturing, press manufacturing, and brand sectors.
- Work closely with the local sales team to engage these accounts directly.
- Clearly communicate and present Datacolor’s value proposition for Print & Packaging solutions.
- Deliver presentations and demonstrations of products like SpectroDens, ChromaQA, and Colibri Ink Software through webinars, seminars, and in-person meetings.
- Initiate and manage market development projects to uncover new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with regional partners and ensure they meet their objectives.
- Network with other solution providers to integrate Datacolor products into comprehensive color management systems, including packaging solutions for brands and supply chains.
- Coordinate with direct Print & Packaging sales representatives where applicable.
- Maintain and report progress on regional Print & Packaging scorecards monthly.
- Seek support from the Applications team for complex cases such as ink matching.
- Provide feedback to Product Management on market needs, solution enhancements, and competitor activities.
- Utilize SalesForce.com for tracking sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Prepare and present well-justified business proposals to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline.
- 5–10 years of strategic sales and key account management experience.
- Technical or engineering background to understand customer workflows and challenges.
- In-depth knowledge of Print & Packaging processes and color measurement applications.
- Strong analytical and prioritization skills.
- Results-driven with leadership capabilities.
- Ability to build strategic partnerships and influence stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills in English (additional languages as required).
- Skilled in presentations and persuasive communication.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools like SalesForce.com.
Performance Metrics
- Quantitative: Revenue achievement vs. targets; number of customer engagements; opportunity pipeline growth.
- Qualitative: Collaboration with local sales teams; actionable feedback to Product Management.
Travel Requirement
Frequent travel within the region is expected.
