Position:

We are seeking an exceptional leader to serve as our first Country Manager in Japan, a rare opportunity to build a regional presence from the ground up and lead the expansion of a globally respected consulting firm into one of the world’s most advanced economies. As the bridge between global expertise and local insight, the Country Manager will be responsible for shaping the firm’s entry into Japan, defining strategy, building relationships, driving growth, and delivering high-impact consulting solutions tailored to the Japanese market. This leadership role will set the foundation for long-term success in the region and serve as a model for future market expansions.

Why Japan?

This is not just about managing a region, you will help redefining what consulting can and should be in Japan.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the regional business strategy in alignment with the firm’s global vision and values, tailored to the unique dynamics of the Japanese market.
  • Establish clear goals, milestones, and KPIs to measure success and impact.

Business Development

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, nurture relationships with C-suite executives and industry leaders and expand our footprint among Fortune 500 clients in the technology and AI sectors.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of consulting engagements and manage client acquisition strategies.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction across all engagements—particularly in areas such as data centre consulting, digital infrastructure planning, and enterprise technology transformation.
  • Coordinate with global teams to ensure consistency in service delivery and knowledge sharing.

Team Building & Culture

  • Attract, develop, and retain top-tier talent in Japan.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning that reflects the firm’s values.

Financial Oversight

  • Own and manage the regional profit and loss statement.
  • Drive sustainable, profitable growth while meeting or exceeding financial targets.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent the firm in external forums, media platforms, government discussions, and industry events acting as the public face of the organization in Japan.

Change Management

  • Lead organizational transformation initiatives internally and for clients, championing agility, innovation, and best practices.

Risk & Compliance
