Job Description
A globally recognized business services platform, employing over 2,000 professionals across international markets, is seeking an accomplished Business Development leader to lead and execute its commercial growth strategy. Reporting directly to the Group Chief Commercial Officer, this leadership position is responsible for cultivating high-impact client relationships, identifying and securing strategic business opportunities, and driving commercial initiatives that strengthen revenue performance and market competitiveness.
The successful candidate will possess substantial expertise in business development, underpinned by a deep understanding of global market dynamics, client engagement strategies and competitive positioning. A proven track record of driving growth within Advisory & Financial Services, Business Services, or other B2B sectors is a critical requirement.
Job responsibilities
Strategic Commercial Leadership & Market Development
- Drive the development and execution of integrated commercial strategies aligned with the Group's vision, leveraging market insights to identify growth opportunities. Lead expansion initiatives through strategic partnerships, innovation, and entry into new markets. Oversee sales frameworks and business development efforts to maximize revenue, deepen client engagement, and promote the Group's offerings across international markets
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Manage the end-to-end client lifecycle, from onboarding diverse segments-including startups, SMEs, corporates, HNWIs, and funds-to nurturing long-term relationships. Establish and maintain strategic alliances with government and commercial partners to enhance service value. Champion a client-centric approach, ensuring high satisfaction and retention through continuous feedback and collaboration with service delivery teams
Financial Oversight & Performance Analytics
- Monitor commercial performance against financial targets, providing regular updates to executive leadership. Apply data-driven insights to assess portfolio health and guide strategic decisions, ensuring sustained growth and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred)
- Professional certifications in Finance & Accounting would be advantageous
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in business development, commercial strategy, or sales leadership roles
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion in B2B sectors such as Advisory & Financial Services, Business Services, or related industries
- Demonstrated success in managing cross-border or multi-market commercial operations
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with C-level executives, government bodies, and institutional clients
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
