Global Business Development Manager (Fast Fashion Retail)
Our client is a leading and renowned apparel brand owner, retailer, and franchiser over 30 countries, spanning from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe to as far as Central America. They are actively seeking an exceptional candidate for the role of Global Business Development Manager (Fast Fashion Retail).
Key Responsibilities:
Market Expansion & Partnership Development
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in Asia and the Middle East.
- Build and maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, and partners.
- Develop market entry strategies through research and analysis.
- Negotiate and finalize business agreements (e.g., distribution/partnership deals).
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
Account Servicing
- Collaborate with overseas accounts to create revenue growth plans.
- Manage product assortments for new store openings and seasonal buys.
- Oversee seasonal orders, including pricing, product changes, and payment issues.
- Coordinate with shipping and merchant teams for timely deliveries.
- Ensure proper brand representation across all channels.
- Prepare sales reports and business reviews.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as a liaison between departments to ensure cohesive strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing, product teams, finance, and other departments.
- Monitor project progress and ensure budget alignment.
- Coordinate shipping, invoices, and delivery schedules.
Business Reporting and Analysis
- Analyze market data to offer business insights.
- Use sales and inventory data to optimize merchandising.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and performance tracking.
Key Requirements:
- Min 5 years working experience in a commercial role in trade, sportswear, fashion, consumer retail industries.
- In-depth knowledge of the sports brand industry, especially in Asia and the Middle East
- Established network with key stakeholders (distributors, retailers, sports organizations)
- Expertise in client service and customer relationship management
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and pricing strategy skills
- Ability to develop sales strategies and optimize revenue
- Proficient in market performance monitoring and reporting
- Strong proficiency in English and Cantonese is a must, proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
- Understanding of logistics, after-sales support, and the fashion product cycle
- Experience collaborating across departments
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis, and financial forecasting
