Assistant Manager - Automotive Engineering
We are seeking an Assistant Manager in Automotive Engineering with a strong background in automotive service engineering. The ideal candidate will have workshop or service engineering experience and a proven track record of leading sizable teams, experience in fleet management is would be a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee automotive service operations, ensuring high-quality standards and efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians and engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Guide and direct fleet maintenance programs and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement engineering solutions and optimize service delivery.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service operations and fleet management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in automotive engineering and fleet management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive cars/lorry’s/vans service engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience from logistic fleet service engineering teams (highly desirable)
- Proven experience in fleet management, including maintenance scheduling and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with Hong Kong automotive engineering standards and relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or local certifications).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Excellent communication skills in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English are a must.
