Creative Strategist (Fashion Apparel)

A market-leading multi-branded fast fashion apparel organization is seeking a Creative Strategist for its Everyday Fashion division. With a strong presence in over 25+ countries and more than 1500 stores, we are committed to innovation and excellence in fast fashion.

Leading the creative vision for the brands in the group, you will Manage a diverse team of over 10 members to foster a culture of excellence and innovation. Promoting open communication within the team. Hold regular meetings to create a supportive and productive environment. Enhancing your and your team’s commercial knowledge by engaging with high street fashion, ensuring awareness of the latest trends. Conduct workshops and create an environment that encourages skill development and innovation, driving the team to contribute ideas that elevate the everyday fashion category. Strategically develop and implement creative initiatives to drive year-on-year sales growth

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Act as a creative leader to drive innovation and introduce fresh concepts in relaxed, easy-to-wear everyday fashion. Guide teams in identifying and capitalizing on the latest Asian and global fashion trends while aligning with the brand identity and target audience.
  • Lead the team in understanding the core selling points of garments. Provide coaching on how to refine original inspirations and enhance product designs.
  • Conduct in-depth trend analysis to identify emerging styles, colors, and patterns that resonate with consumers. Utilize insights to inform design direction and product development.
  • Stay ahead of fabric innovations and technical developments. Analyze fabric performance, sustainability, and market trends to ensure product offerings are competitive and relevant.
  • Conduct structured research covering trends, key opinion leaders (KOLs), market leaders, and fabric innovations to uncover business opportunities within your categories.
  • Organize sample buying and inspiration trips to discover new, commercial products. Facilitate effective communication among team members to foster idea generation.
  • Drive fabric research and continually upgrade your categories. Regularly visit fabric fairs and maintain an extensive fabric library. Ensure the team stays updated with finishing and detailing ideas.
  • Work closely with commercial departments to optimize workflows and product development processes, ensuring innovative offerings are backed by thorough research.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Fashion Design or a related field from a recognized fashion school.
  • Strong knowledge of software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and PLM.
  • In-depth understanding of the Chinese and Asian fashion markets, particularly in fast fashion and e-commerce.
  • Minimum of 10 years in everyday fashion design, with a preference for those who have experience in relaxed, easy-to-wear styles. Experience in developing new brands or categories is a plus.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing successful leadership and innovative design achievements.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Based in Hong Kong or Dongguan
