Assistant Sourcing Manager (Denim)

Our client is global leader in the fashion industry, particularly famous for pioneering a staple item in casual wear that has become a cultural icon. They are currently looking for an outstanding Assistant Sourcing Manager (Denim) to join the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee product tendering & selection with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Use product expertise to improve supplier performance and manage sourcing strategies.
• Maintain supplier relationships and manage direct buying orders through communication and visits.
• Monitor production of direct-buy items from start to finish.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to track product progress.
• Provide updates on market trends and maintain relevant information files.
• Support buyer visits to Asia and assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Degree holder in business or other relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of merchandising experience in denim & sizable organization.
• Practical hands-on experience in factories in Mainland China is essential.
• Able to work independently, self-motivated, responsible, well-organized and willing to learn.
• Attention to detail and good organizational, coordination and planning as well as problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel (mainly in China and Southeast Asia).
• Strong proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
