Our client is a leading multinational bank with an established global presence. They are seeking a client-focused Client Onboarding Assistant to support the daily operations of their Global Banking business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Sales Team to prioritise client onboarding requests and support delivery against agreed timelines.
• Coordinate and drive client documentation and account-opening processes from initiation through to completion.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients throughout the onboarding journey, providing clear and timely status updates.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, Credit Risk Management, Counterparty Risk, and Operations, to resolve outstanding requirements.
• Monitor onboarding progress, identify bottlenecks or risks, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Support the management of client queries while maintaining a high standard of service, accuracy, and professionalism.
• Assist with reporting, data analysis, process tracking, and preparation of presentation materials.
• Develop an understanding of relevant regulatory, jurisdictional, and product-specific requirements in the pre-execution onboarding process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Up to two years of experience in KYC, compliance, client onboarding, operations, or another client-facing role; strong fresh graduates may also be considered.
• Excellent written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Japanese language skills will be an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational, and stakeholder-management skills.
• A client-centric mindset, sound judgement, strong attention to detail, and awareness of operational and regulatory risk.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under time pressure, and take initiative in resolving issues and improving processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to data analytics tools or techniques is advantageous.
• A collaborative team player who can analyse issues, anticipate questions, and communicate practical solutions clearly.
