About the Opportunity
Our client is a one of the leading banks with well-established businesses in the retail, corporate and private wealth businesses. Due to increased business demands and a growing workload, they are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their Finance team. This role offers excellent exposure to financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and financial control functions within the banking industry, while providing opportunities to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and gain valuable industry experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger to source-system reconciliations and support financial accounting and control activities.
- Assist in month-end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries and supporting schedules.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts with Singapore counterparts and investigate any identified discrepancies.
- Analyze material variances in financial results and provide insights to support month-end reporting.
- Prepare financial schedules and reporting packages to meet Group reporting requirements.
- Participate in finance-related projects and contribute to process improvements and workflow enhancements.
- Prepare HKMA regulatory returns, including Assets & Liabilities Position reports, RMB business activity reports, and other regulatory submissions as required.
- Monitor and prepare daily and weekly Liquidity Maintenance Ratio (LMR) reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years of relevant working experience preferred; candidates from non-banking industries are welcome to apply.
- Fresh graduates with strong academic achievements and a keen interest in banking finance will also be considered.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Growth-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute to the team's success.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.
