Job Description

Our client is a top-tier local bank with all-rounded financial operations at its prime within the APAC region. They are looking for passionate Accounting and Finance Professional to join their team and provide support on daily operations and project initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and submit HKMA regulatory returns accurately and within the required deadlines.
  • Support the preparation of liquidity and other banking regulatory returns, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support treasury-related activities, including liquidity management, cash-flow monitoring, funding, and balance-sheet analysis.
  • Participate in the Murex project, including system implementation, data mapping, user acceptance testing, process enhancement, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform data analysis, reconciliation, and validation to ensure the accuracy and completeness of regulatory submissions.
  • Liaise with internal departments, including Finance, Treasury, Risk, Operations, and IT, to obtain and validate the required information.
  • Assist with month-end closing, financial reporting, management reporting, and other ad hoc finance-related projects as required.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
  • Qualified accountant or currently pursuing a recognised professional accounting qualification is preferred
  • 2 – 7 years of solid accounting experience, preferably gained within the banking or financial services industry
  • Proven experience in preparing and reviewing HKMA regulatory returns; experience with HKMA liquidity returns is preferred
  • Good knowledge of treasury products, liquidity management, and banking operations is an advantage
  • Experience in system implementation, enhancement, migration, or transformation projects is preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Strong command of written and spoken English, with proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-engagement skills
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable handling complex data and workflows
