Role: Senior Sales Manager, APAC - Merchant Services

 

Our client is a digital platform streamlines global commerce for millions of small businesses, marketplaces and enterprises from 200 countries and territories. Leveraging its robust technology, compliance, operations and banking infrastructure, we deliver a suite of services that includes cross-border payments, working capital, tax solutions and risk management. This role is based out of Singapore or Hong Kong and may require some travel when necessary.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and grow the Enterprise merchant services business across the APAC region (encompasses solutions for Enterprise clients that support payments processing and payments optimization)
  • Identify new potential clients, establish and implement new business development strategies pertaining to sales growth
  • Develop new business channels consistent with the brand positioning through other companies /business channels
  • Handling B2B sales order from customer, identify business opportunities and expanding client base
  • Analyze market and formulate business/sales strategy to achieve teams sales targets
  • Handling all contract negotiations and card acceptance related issues with existing and prospect merchants
  • Performing all aspect of account servicing and identifying new business and developing opportunities for existing and prospect merchants
  • Identifying opportunities to improve profitability and merchant process
  • The role will be based on specific KPIs and targets
  • The role holder will need to coordinate with global stakeholders on product, policies and sales
  • The individual should be able to effectively navigate a global organization to seek support on sales
  • Build, grow and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Grow revenue through direct B2B selling
  • Coordinate all facets in the sales cycle (introducing technical sales support, project management, write offers, prepare closing plans, support contract negotiations)
  • Develop and execute a sales plan to target different markets and expand the business operations of the company
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes, strategies and structure
  • Close coordination with the management (reporting directly to the Regional VP Enterprise), and the team from marketing, customer success, project management and onboarding
  • Participate in global sales enablement across regional teams (EMEA, APAC, Americas)
  • Participate in soliciting offers for the new products

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • 7+ years of business development, sales, account management experience, especially in payments, ecommerce or Commerce platforms
  • Experience in working with Enterprise Clients is essential
  • Understanding of payments, payments processing and digital commerce across different geographies will be essential to the role and engaging with targeted clients
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding business established goals
  • Proficiency in the use of email, with strong written and verbal English communications skills
  • Ability to make decisions in a changing environment, anticipate future needs and drive results
  • High level of organization and focus and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to see the bigger picture
  • Experience in the Payments and Banking industry will be a plus
  • Familiarity with the Marketplace e-commerce
  • Experience with direct sales for small businesses engaged in cross border trade
  • Experience with digital marketing, affiliate marketing, social media will be an added advantage
  • Experience with data analytics & BI tools is not necessary but good to have
  • Experience working in an international company
